2025-2026 School Year Update
We are thrilled to share that we have found a new church partner for Promise Christian Preschool at Cornerstone Church in Boulder. Thank you for your prayers!
We are currently in the land use review process with the City of Boulder and are hopeful to be opening our classrooms at Cornerstone in the fall. If all goes according to plan, we are looking at school starting right after Labor Day, and we are feeling beyond blessed! It’s been a long few months of work, but we are glad to be back on track to getting the school opened. Thank you for ALL of your prayers – God is so good and is certainly keeping his Promises for Promise!
Our Mission
Our mission and promise is to serve, and come alongside kids, and their families in Boulder County by providing educational programs that encourage each child to grow spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially.
Our Purpose
Our Preschool exists for the primary purpose of providing excellent early childhood education in a loving and caring environment, while introducing preschool aged children to a fulfilling life of following Jesus.
Our Vision
Our vision is that Promise Christian Preschool is a resource for families raising kids in Boulder County. Providing a place for families looking for a safe, healthy, and nurturing educational environment for their preschool aged children. In addition to excellent age appropriate education, kids at Promise Christian Preschool will be introduced to Jesus. Learning who Jesus was & is, what Jesus did for humanity, and how to follow and become like Jesus. Promise Christian Preschool is a community modeled after the ministry of Jesus, offering hope, care, and love for our neighbors in Boulder.
Our Philosophy
Our educational curriculum is largely play based. We believe that preschool aged children express and learn best through play. Our curriculum is holistic and incorporates educational best practices in literacy, number concepts, science, fine and gross motor skills, and emotional and social development. We believe it is important to teach children how to be healthy by balancing active play and thoughtful nutrition. We will seek to nurture and encourage the development of the whole child.
Our Story
Promise Preschool was founded in 1992 by Covenant Presbyterian Church as an outreach of the church to the local community. In 2008, Promise Preschool became incorporated under the name Promise Christian Preschool as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. The preschool was located on Baseline and Indian Peaks Drive in Lafayette for 24 years until the rented space for Promise was purchased in 2016. The relocation process took time and Promise Christian Preschool had to close its doors for two years. In 2019, Promise relocated within the building of Boulder Valley Church of Christ on 76th Street in Boulder (now Legacy Church). Promise Christian Preschool enjoyed many great years at Legacy Church. However, in 2024 it was time to find a new location. Promise Christian Preschool made the difficult choice to temporarily close for the 2024-2025 school year to find a new location.
Promise Christian Preschool is thrilled to announce that we have found a new partner in Cornerstone Church in Boulder, Colorado. Promise will re-open for the 2025-2026 school year!
